COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Another round of showers and thunderstorms is in the forecast for Sunday thanks to a stationary front that continues to linger. The best chance will be in the afternoon and evening, heavy rain will be possible if you are able to get under one of these storms. High temperatures today will depend on who sees rain and who does not, expect highs to range from the low to middle 80s.
Monday :We’ll begin to see a change in our pattern starting Monday as shower coverage will a lot less compared to the last few days. I will be watching a wave of energy that looks to move out of north Alabama Monday afternoon, arriving into our area by the evening commute. If this wave of energy can last, this would give us a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms during our evening commute on Monday. Stronger storms associated with this wave will stay to our north with wind the primary threat. Highs Monday will likely reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.
Tuesday & the rest of the week:A cold front will arrive on Tuesday giving us another chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, highs will reach the upper 80s to low 90s once again.
A push of cooler and drier air will move into the region behind this front by midweek, we’ll see more sun and highs in the low to middle 80s before warming up once again by the weekend…
