COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Good Wednesday morning! We are starting the day with plenty of clouds, along with areas of damp conditions and mist across the region. As the morning progresses, a few occasional breaks of sunshine will work their way through the mostly cloudy to overcast skies, but cloud cover will remain the dominant feature for much of the day.
By this afternoon, we should see a few more glimpses of sunshine, helping temperatures climb into the lower and middle 80s. We are also monitoring the potential for showers and thunderstorms developing and lifting northward from the south. Rain and storm coverage is expected to remain fairly isolated, and conditions should not be nearly as active or widespread as what many locations experienced on Tuesday.
Our attention then turns to a tropical disturbance currently being monitored near the Texas coast. This system could develop into Tropical Storm Arthur, but whether it receives a name or not, the impacts across the Southeast are expected to be similar.
