COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation has raised more than $100,000 in their 31st Annual Piedmont Classic-Driven by Mercedes Benz of Columbus.
According to Piedmont officials, the foundation raised a net total of $137,950.81 with all proceeds going back to the John B. Amos Cancer Center and the Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital. Officials say all funds raised will go back to support services and patient care.
According to Piedmont, two hundred dedicated tennis, golf and pickleball players teamed up with Columbus State University’s tennis team alongside several professional pickleball and golf players for a friendly competition.
“This fundraiser helps us stay up to date with technology and invest in research and development so we can continue to offer state-of-the-art care close to home. Piedmont Classic has raised more than $4 million since it began in 1995 and we couldn’t do it without the support of our sponsors and donors,” said Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation Major Gift Programs Manager Jessie Brown.
