PEACHTREE CITY, GA — Georgia residents are being told to watch the forecast closely as a stretch of unsettled weather brings the chance for thunderstorms, lightning and locally heavy rain through midweek and into the weekend. The National Weather Service office in Peachtree City has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for much of north and central Georgia, including Muscogee County.
No severe weather warnings are active right now, but forecasters say conditions could change as the week goes on.
What To Expect
The outlook calls for isolated thunderstorms Monday, with lightning and brief heavy rainfall possible during the afternoon and early evening. Tuesday is expected to turn hot and humid, with scattered showers in the mix.
From Wednesday through Saturday, the forecast points to scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms, along with continued lightning and periods of heavy rain.
