COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Residents of the Georgetown subdivision attended Tuesday’s Columbus city council meeting divided over a local cat colony, with some asking officials to remove the animals and others opposed to that plan.
Ten people were on Tuesday’s city council agenda to discuss the cats in the Georgetown neighborhood, located off Buena Vista Road near Shatula Road. Some residents raised concerns about diseases or infections the cats carry, while others focused on the growing cat population.
