The Keep It Rural LLC and eight landowners in Upatoi near the propose Project Ruby $5.18 billion data center, suing the Columbus Council over the process of how the technology overlay ordinance was passed this year, will likely get their answer on the lawsuit by the end of the year.
Wednesday afternoon, Superior Court of Muscogee County Judge John Martin heard arguments from attorney Jonathan Waters, representing the plaintiffs (Keep It Rural LLC and the landowners) and attorneys James Clark and Thomas Gristina, representing the defendants (Mayor “Skip” Berry Henderson and Columbus Councilors Simi Barnes, Glenn Davis, Bruce Huff, Toyia Tucker, Charmaine Crab, Gary Allen, Joanne Cogle, Walker Garrett, John Anker and Travis Chambers).
