Phenix City police report 82 incidents over Sept. 9 and 10

The Phenix City Police Department logged a total of 82 incidents during a nearly 24-hour operational period running from 7:34 a.m. on Sept. 9 to 5:42 a.m. on Sept. 10, 2026, handling a continuous stream of calls ranging from routine traffic stops and property checks to shots fired, domestic violence, and early-morning disturbances.

Daytime operations began with 26 incidents between 7:34 a.m. and 3:19 p.m., highlighted by an early property-damage accident at PC Christian School on US Highway 280-431 and a reported shots-fired incident in the area of 1st Pl. and 14th Ave.. Officers also responded to an injury accident at Freeman Rd. and Arrowhead Rd., property damage calls at local schools and a church, and multiple traffic offenses along the major highway corridors. Later morning hours brought public service duties such as financial escorts for the Utilities Main Office and Lakewood Golf, alongside animal complaints, civil matters, and an 11:22 a.m. domestic violence call on 18th Street that resulted in active case status.

The afternoon and evening shift added 31 incidents between 3:55 p.m. and 8:21 p.m., featuring a personal injury accident near the Ladonia Fire Department on US Highway 80 W, a property damage wreck at Walmart, and various security alarms including one at Glenwood School in neighboring Smiths Station.
