Raymond V. Charles fashions himself as an online food critic. Charles has spent the last several days eviscerating Columbus eateries and inciting the locals on Facebook. The used car salesman from South Carolina rolled into town September 5th and immediately put businesses on notice “I’M HERE ! Nasty restaurants CLOSE NOW !!!”
Charles prefaces each animated video critique of the restaurants with “I don’t mean no harm to the business,” before destroying the food and staff at each of his stops. His online reviews rack up hundreds of thousands of views.
He targeted Ed’s Southern Cooking for his first local review calling the ribs, macaroni and cheese and cornbread muffin trash. “Edward, these ribs are dry.” He uploaded an edited video of the cashier without her knowledge and later posted “Your cashier is TRASH and food is made for DOGS !!” His video commentary was met with more than 800 comments and mixed reactions. Some were in agreement with his assessment while others were bewildered with his negative approach. “Well….he just killed this restaurant,” noted one person…
