Widespread storms expected Saturday and Sunday

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) —We are tracking a few showers to our north that may move in later tonight. Overall, Friday night football is looking great tonight. Those temperatures will drop back into the low-80s by the time you head home.

We have BIG CHANGES this weekend. Widespread storms will develop Saturday afternoon and produce some heavy rain. We will be keeping a close eye on the Florida vs. Auburn game.

Unsettled weather will stay in the forecast throughout the weekend. Another round of scattered storms is ahead on Sunday. The good news: afternoon temperatures will slowly cool off.

Next Week: The cooling trend will continue next week…just in time for fall. The first official day of fall is 4 days away. Fall starts on September 22nd at 8:05 PM.

Highs will drop into the upper 80s, with some mornings in the 60s. When it comes to the rain, we will dry back out midweek…
