Storm damage in Columbus: fallen trees cause gas leak, hit home

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) -A thunderstorm that moved through the Chattahoochee Valley Saturday afternoon knocked down trees at multiple locations in Columbus, causing a gas leak at one home and striking a house at another.

Tree breaks gas line on Woodland Drive

A tree fell at the intersection of Woodland Drive and Alta Vista Drive during the storm. The tree struck and broke a gas line, causing a gas leak.

Columbus resident Jason Horner said the tree fell shortly after he arrived at the house.
