COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Columbus City Manager Tyson Begly has decided who he wants to fill three key positions in the Columbus Consolidated Government.
Begly has picked Edward Allen Minton to be the Director of the newly created Facilities Maintenance Department.
Minton has served in the Facilities Maintenance Division since June of 2023. In December of 2025, he was named interim director of the department. Minton has over 20 years of experience in facility maintenance and building management.
Kimberly Mitchell is Begly’s choice to be the Community Reinvestment Director.
Mitchell currently serves as Assistant Director of the Community Reinvestment and Real Estate Department, a post she has held since August of 2022. She has nine years of experience working as an urban planner on her resume…
