OPELIKA, Ala. (WSFA) – A Sylacauga man died and an Auburn woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The crash happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Lee County Road 188 near Lee County Road 78, 10 miles west of Auburn. Investigators said vehicles driven by Jimmy Salters, 43, and Kacie Smith, 52, collided head-on. Salters was pronounced dead at the scene, and Smith was taken to a Montgomery hospital for treatment…
