A Smiths Station teenager was arrested for assault after stabbing another juvenile late Friday night in Lee County according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
On September 25, 2026, at approximately 11:39pm CDT, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a subject who was stabbed while at a residence located on Lee Road 598 in the Smiths Station area of Lee County, Alabama. Deputies arrived on scene at 11:45pm and located a juvenile who had sustained a laceration to the arm. The juvenile was transported by ambulance to Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
An investigation revealed that the suspect in the stabbing was Ryan Mychael George Jr., age 18, from Smiths Station, who was an acquaintance of the victim. Deputies located Ryan George Jr., and his vehicle, at a residence in the 400 block of Lee Road 290 in Smiths Station. Lee County Sheriff’s Office Investigators executed a search warrant, and Ryan George Jr. was subsequently arrested for assault 2nd degree.
