THIS WEEKEND:We’ve got a pretty wet weekend on tap. Saturday will be the drier of the two, so if you’ve got outdoor plans this weekend, hopefully those plans are for today. We’ll see scattered showers around for Saturday, but Sunday is looking really wet, especially after lunch. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies for Saturday with highs in the mid to upper 80s. A frontal boundary will be sliding south throughout the weekend, and coupled with an area of low pressure, rain becomes likely Sunday afternoon through the first half of Monday. Highs on Sunday will only be in the uppoer 70s.
NEXT WEEK:Monday is looking really wet, esepecially the first half of the day. The location of that front will determine how long the rain continues on Monday. The further south it slides, we could see things dry out in the afternoon. Highs on Monday will be near 80. Tuesday is looking drier, although we’ll still see a mix of sun and clouds with rain south of Columbus, especially along the coast. Wednesday through Friday are looking mostly dry and mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. But, toward the end of the week, an area of low pressure forms along that front to our south and lifts northward, bringing showers back into the forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
TROPICS:The tropics remain quiet with no development expected over the next week…
