COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Starting the day off with some more light showers and areas of patchy dense fog across the valley. Temperatures are quite mild with readings in the 50s and even 60s across the south side.
Much like yesterday, the morning showers should taper off throughout the morning; however, later this evening and tonight we are expecting a round of heavy showers and thunderstorms to move in. Likely lasting through the early morning hours of Thursday.
Showers and storms become off and on throughout the day Thursday with another surge of energy coming late Thursday afternoon and early Thursday evening.
Friday’s rain chances remain up in the air at the moment, but overcast skies will continue to prevail in the forecast as we await that final push of storm energy. Expect mainly light showers Friday with a better chance of thunderstorms Saturday.
Finally clear out Sunday as temperatures return more seasonal and drier for next week.
