Columbus woman accused of opening fire in work transport van appears in Recorder’s Court

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Wednesday, the woman accused of opening fire in a transport van last week appeared in Recorder’s Court.

Tiyanka Williamson, 31, is accused of shooting and injuring two individuals. She now faces six total counts of aggravated assault, one count of theft by taking a motor vehicle, and one count of a weapons charge.

Two people were injured in Friday’s shooting. Timothy Tolliver was shot in the chest and remains in the ICU. Calvin Davis was shot through his left ear.

Tolliver’s father and Davis testified Wednesday morning in front of Chief Judge David Ranieri.

Tyler Tolliver, father of the victim: “He’s still alive, we’re going to try and get him out today but he’s having a difficult time.”

Nick Hudd, Assistant District Attorney: “Did they end up putting a breathing tube in him?”

Tyler Tolliver: “They just took the breathing tube out yesterday.”

Nick Hudd: “And is there anything else you’d like the court to know about his condition?”

Tyler Tolliver: “It’s just going to take some time; it will take time.”

Nick Hudd: “And you have feelings as to whether or not the defendant should have a bond or not?”

Tyler Tolliver: “She shouldn’t have a bond.”
