COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Despite rainy weather, many came out to celebrate the grand opening of a local gym. Transformations Mind Body N Soul Fitness Inc. is a non-profit, women-owned fitness center with the goal of giving back to the local community.
Founders hosted a grand opening ceremony from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27. They estimated about 50 people had showed up over the course of the event. Some had already decided to register and join the new gym.
“Our mission is to bridge the gap between healthcare and fitness,” said Cheryl Harrison, a ten-year Army veteran.

Harrison founded Mind Body N Soul Transformations alongside Air Force reservist Sheikela Ford and Army veteran Delonda Ramsey. All three women have a passion for fitness and serving the local community.
Their new gym, located on Warm Springs Road, offers a variety of services on weekdays and weekends. These include morning and evening fitness classes, nutrition planning, goal setting and more.
