Sunny and seasonal afternoon; increasing clouds tonight

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Staring off your Tuesday with colder temperatures as they are hovering right around freezing this morning while under clear skies. Throughout the day, we will remain under sunny skies with temperatures climbing into the low 60s for highs.

Tonight, clouds will increase as a weak front moves through the south. Temperatures will be slightly warmer in the low 40s and upper 30s. Towards the north, if enough moisture is squeezed out you may see a light sprinkle, but otherwise we remain dry.

After morning clouds Tuesday, we see more sunshine by the afternoon with temperatures holding right around 60 for the most part. Through the rest of the week, staying dry and quiet with increasing cloud cover and slightly warmer temperatures each afternoon.

Tracking our next chance of rain, which comes over the weekend with a gulf low that develops. It will bring in cloudy skies for Sunday along with scattered showers and even a few rumbles of thunder.

As the low continues to rotate out, we will start next week off with cloudy skies and possibly some morning showers.
