PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. ( WRBL ) — An expanded, more active Callaway Resort & Gardens (CRG) is coming this spring. On Tuesday, Jan. 30, CRG representatives announced a multimillion dollar expansion project and upgraded events schedule for the 2024 season.
CRG Vice President Chris Lutz explained the project began in 2022 with the help of Herschend Enterprises, which officially became CRG’s parent company last year.
“It’s all about bringing families together here,” said Lutz. “We want to make sure folks are truly having a great time.”
Herschend Enterprises has been collaborating with CRG since 2020’s “Fantasy in Lights.” The company has been around since the 1950s and currently works with Dollywood Resorts, the Harlem Globetrotters and more.

Lutz took on his role at CRG seven months ago but his portfolio includes working with family entertainment brands like Great Wolf Lodge and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.
The CRG vice president added the Callaway’s new projects will “really take things to new heights” while preserving the decades-long legacy of the resort and gardens in Pine Mountain.
