COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Staring off Wednesday with mostly clear skies as a weak front moves through the viewing area this morning. Temperatures will be close to average, but mostly staying in the 40s throughout the morning. This afternoon expect more sunny blue skies as temperatures remain just below average with the passage of the cold front.
Tonight, temperatures plummet again towards the freezing mark under clear skies. Watch out for areas of patchy frost to develop as we see some areas dip below the freezing mark.
Rest of the week we are staying dry and quiet with increasing cloud cover and slightly warmer temperatures each afternoon. Expect some areas to reach the upper 60s and low 70s by Friday and Saturday.
Tracking our next chance of rain, which comes over the weekend with a gulf low that develops. It will bring in cloudy skies for Sunday along with scattered showers and even a few rumbles of thunder.
As the low continues to rotate out, we will start next week off with cloudy skies and possibly some morning showers.
