COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Thursday starts off again with temperatures dipping towards the freezing mark with areas of patchy frost. Temperatures quickly warm up once the sunrises with readings soaring into the lower 60s. A few clouds this afternoon and evening, but staying mostly sunny.
Tonight, temperatures fall back into the upper 30s while staying above freezing under mostly clear skies.
We see a brief warming trend for Friday and Saturday as temperatures climb almost 10 degrees above average with some spots seeing 70 degrees. Forecast remains dry and quiet until a complex upper level low moves across the southeast Sunday.
Tracking our next chance of rain, which comes over the second half of the weekend with an upper level low that develops. It will bring in cloudy skies for Sunday along with scattered showers and even a few rumbles of thunder.
As the low continues to rotate out, we will start next week off with cloudy skies and possibly some morning showers.
