Columbus, Ga – This weekend the Columbus River Dragons will have one of their most anticipated games of the season. The Dragons will have their annual “Military Appreciation Night” so the team will salute our veterans in a special way with custom jerseys. Each year the “Military Appreciation Night” jersey is a little different.
This year’s “Military Appreciation” night jersey will pay honor the newly renamed Fort Moore on the front of the jersey. The letters will be in the signature River Dragons teal colors along with the Army Star. The design also includes digital camo and yellow Cheverons as a nod to military ranks. During “Military Appreciation Night” the team will honor a ton of veterans from the Bi-City Area and beyond. The teams says it’s such an honor to wear these jerseys as a salute to those serving our country.
“That’s definitely bigger than hockey. It’s to try and you know give back for everything that they’ve done for us past and present and future,” said Justin MacDonald.
