COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) – The Columbus Consolidated Government (CCG) said that city officials are set to hold a neighborhood meeting for District 7 on Feb. 26.
The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Asbury Methodist Church located on Ellen Drive. The meeting is part of the All Hands-on Deck Campaign which aims to clean up Columbus Neighborhoods.
CCG says Deputy City Manager Lisa Goodwin along with Columbus Public Works, Inspections and Codes, Keep Columbus Beautiful, METRA and Parks and Recreation will orchestrate the meeting.
During the meeting city official will discuss about how residents can assist with keeping local neighborhoods clean. Clean-up kits will also be provided to attendees and city employees will come through and pick up trash.
The city wants locals to remember that it will take community effort to keep Columbus neighborhoods clean stating, “It will take “ALL HANDS-ON DECK” to make this happen!”
