COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Starting the day off cloudy and mild with temperatures falling into the 40s by daybreak. A few cooler rural areas could see some upper 30s again.
Through much of the day, clouds will be persistent and stubborn to break, but temperatures will be quite warm and spring-like in the low 70s.
Heading into the weekend, clouds and the warmer temperatures remain while a few light showers will be possible through the day. A better chance as we head towards the afternoon and evening as a front slowly stalls from the north.
A better chance of showers and storms by Sunday as the front lifts more northward. A few storms will have the chance to produce localized flash flooding.
More showers and storms remain in the forecast through Monday as the low pressure system and associated cold front sweeps through the southeast.
Once this system passes we see a return of more seasonal air behind the front for Tuesday and Valentine’s Day.
