WEATHER AWARE: Sunday Night through Monday (Daytime)
We are tracking a very active East Pacific Jetstream ahead of a storm system that is moving across an active southern branch of the Jetstream across the Southern U.S.
These systems combined will pump warm and humid air across the region for a very heavy rain event with some areas dealing with local flash flooding and of course, a few strong to severe storms late Sunday into the day on Monday before the system exits Monday evening.
The skies will remain cloudy to mostly cloudy, with readings in the lower 70s and mid to near 60 degrees for overnight low temperatures, we will not return to low 60s for highs and overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s until the middle of next week; this is average for this time of year.
