COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) – CPD announced the case of the shooting deaths of 52-year-old Juantonja Richmond and 51-year-old Ronisha Anderson back in March of 2023 has been solved and that no arrest nor prosecution will be pursued since the suspect is dead.
According to CPD, on March 7, 2023, around 11:53 a.m. officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of Clay Street.
Responding officers discovered two dead females later identified Richmond and Anderson lying in the front yard of a residence with gunshot wounds.
CPD says after an “extensive investigation,” led by CPD’s violent crime unit, it was determined that Solomon Adams, a next-door neighbor was responsible for the deaths of both victims. Two days after the shooting, CPD says Adams was found dead inside his residence.
Due to the results of CPD investigation along with supporting results from the GBI, CPD says this case has been cleared and closed.
