Harris County High School and Middle School releasing students early due to water disruption

HARRIS COUNTY, Ga. (WRBL) — Students at Harris County High School and Middle School are being released early on Tuesday due to a water disruption.

High school bus riders are being released at 8:45 a.m. while middle schoolers will be released at 9 a.m. Car riders can be picked up starting at 9 a.m.

The Harris County School District discovered the issue at 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The water was expected to be repaired around 8:15 a.m., but according to the district, the repair did not work.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this unforeseeable situation may cause. The safety and welfare of our students remain our utmost priority, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.”

The Harris County Community Center is also closed due to a water issue, according to the recreation department’s Facebook page.

These water outage come a day after the Chattahoochee Valley saw a massive amount of rainfall .
