‘We can’t do it alone’ CPD introduces new camera registry program

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) is stepping up their game and partnering with Fusus, a crime fighting platform to create a camera registry program and are inviting community members to sign-up.

According to CPD, through working with Fusus Columbus Police is “arming our first responders with cutting-edge tools to tackle emergencies head-on.”

The Columbus Police is asking interested citizens to share the location of their security cameras with the police department. Rest assured, CPD says sharing does not mean police will have access to your camera. Also, there is no additional cost to share your camera’s location with CPD.
