Annual Arbor Day celebration kicks off Saturday at Lakebottom Park

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A local Arbor Day celebration is back in action for its 46th year.

The event hosted by Keep Columbus Beautiful and Trees Columbus kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 17th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lakebottom Park.

In the spirit of Arbor Day, The Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other local youth groups will help plant 25 trees.

The free celebration will feature also feature seedling giveaways, prizes, games, food and face painting. Various community partners and vendors will be present.
