COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Our crews report that a fire has broken out on Airport Thruway near I-185 in Columbus. According to Columbus Fire & EMS Division Chief John Shull, one unit responded to a brush fire on the side of the road on Airport Thruway. He says it is still unclear how the fire started, but firefighters are getting it under control.
