COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A 17-year-old is behind bars after allegedly killing his stepdad in Columbus. On July 25, at 10:46 p.m., Columbus police officers say they responded to a residence near the 700 block of Parkhill Dr. in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers say they discovered a male, 38-year-old Evan Garner with no signs of life.
