The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the four victims killed in the Apalachee High School shooting.

In a report by WSB-TV , the victims were identified as Mason Schermerhorn, 14; Christian Angulo, 14; Richard Aspinwall; and Christina Irimie. Schermerhorn’s mother told the outlet that he was a student with autism, and relatives circulated images of him on social media when they couldn’t contact him after the shooting. Aspinwall was a math teacher and assistant coach for the Apalachee Wildcats. He previously worked at Mountain View High School in Lawrenceville, as reported by Fox 5 Atlanta. Angulo was known as a “free spirit” who loved to make his friends laugh. He had a relaxed demeanor but was full of life.
Irimie worked in the school’s math department and was described as “patient and caring” by students. Investigators identified the shooter as 14-year-old Colt Gray, and he was charged with murder as an adult. There were further reports that he was on the FBI’s radar for a year after he reportedly made school shooting threats last year but was not arrested. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) stated that Gray used an AR platform-style weapon. Local authorities confirmed that the gunshots injured nine other victims. Additionally, five individuals were treated for symptoms of anxiety but are expected to survive.
