Downed tree leaves area around Calvin Drive without power

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — A tree is down and the top of an electricity pole has snapped off on Calvin Drive. As a result, about 170 residents are without power on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Georgia Power outage map.

The estimated time of power restoration is 2:45 p.m. Georgia Power and Columbus Public Works are both present at the downed tree.

The road remains open.

The outage comes as we are monitoring weather aware conditions brought by the outer bands of Hurricane Francine.
