Sun and clouds remain for the afternoon as temperatures push towards the low 90s

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Good Wednesday morning! Starting off your morning with temperatures in the 60s and 70s this morning with mostly clear skies. Throughout the morning expect plenty of sunshine again with a few clouds as temperatures continue to warm

The afternoon we will see mostly sunny skies as temperatures try to push towards that 90 degree mark while we remain wedged between stalled front towards the south and a tropical airmass towards the northeast. But expect high pressure to build in and overtake the forecast for the remainder of the week.

For the rest of the week, mornings still drop into the 60s under mostly clear to clear conditions while the afternoons become a tad warm with readings hitting 90 degrees by Friday afternoon. The good news, we will finally see a dry Friday night for football games across the region.

High pressure builds overhead for the weekend, so you may notice more sunshine and a lack of clouds across the southeast and temperatures pushing the low 90s, a tad above average for this year. Not seeing any rainfall in our forecast as high pressure keeps us dry through the weekend and early next week.
