Opelika police searching for two suspects in connection with theft investigation

OPELIKA, Ala. ( WRBL ) — Opelika police are searching for two suspects they believe to be connected to an ongoing theft investigation in East Alabama.

The investigation began on Aug. 27, when Opelika police received a report of third degree theft of property at Kroger on the 2400 block of Enterprise Drive.

According to police, the victim noticed their wallet was missing around 2:30 p.m. The stolen cards were used shortly thereafter to make purchases at a Sam’s Club in the 2300 block of Bent Creek Road in Auburn. Police say the suspects are two females.

Police describe the first woman as having dark hair and say she was last seen wearing a white blouse and white pants. The second woman is described as having light brown hair and was last seen wearing a tan hat and a coral-colored top and pants.
