COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Two people are in custody after a shooting at Budgetel Inn & Suites left one person injured on Thursday night, according to the Columbus Police Department.
Police say Devante Turner, 31, and Shari Hamilton, 37, have been arrested on several charges:
- Turner:
– Possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime
– Pointing a pistol at another
– Theft by receiving
– Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
– Possession of marijuana
– Tampering with evidence - Hamilton:
– Aggravated assault
– False report of a crime
– Tampering with evidence
– Possession of a firearm or knife during commission of a crime
– Theft by receiving
– Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
– Possession of marijuana
– VCCSA Schedule II (Oxymorphone)
Columbus police confirmed one person was injured in the shooting.
The case is under investigation.
