COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The region’s only freestanding children’s hospital is just days away from opening its doors. The public is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional on Wednesday. The event will start at 2 p.m. at the new facility, located at 616 19th Street, and will feature the reveal of a turtle mascot naming contest, officials said.
