Former Fort Moore employee pleads guilty in child pornography case

COLUMBUS – A former employee of Fort Moore has admitted he possessed images of child sexual abuse material on his phone. Terric Taylor, 37, of Fortson, pleaded guilty to one count of possessing child pornography before U.S. District Judge Clay Land on Oct. 15. Taylor faces a maximum of 20 years in prison to be followed by at least five years up to a lifetime of supervised release and a $250,000 fine plus potential restitution to be determined by the court. In addition, Taylor will have to register as a sex offender upon release from prison. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 28. There is no parole in the federal system.
