Arrest made in connection to deadly 20th Avenue shooting of Columbus woman

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL )— Columbus police have made an arrest in connection to the shooting death of a woman on 20th Avenue.

28-year-old Dejahn Glenn was arrested Oct. 31 and is being charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Police say Glenn is connected to the shooting death of Sekedra McCoy, which happened the night of Oct. 30 in the 200 block of 20th Avenue.

Columbus police say they were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call concerning a shooting. When officers arrived, they found McCoy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. McCoy was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional, but would later succumb to her wounds.

Glenn is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court Friday, November 8, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.
