Rafael’s indirect outer bands will add inches of relief for the News 3 region

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- #Rafael An approaching front and a tropical storm combined will swing in plenty of moisture here in the forecast and NOW may linger longer with a slow-moving front.

Rainfall will be measurable across the region, with 2-5″ of rainfall starting Wednesday. The front off towards the west will lift plenty of Gulf moisture from Rafael’s remnants through Sunday morning.

The rain cooled air is helping to keep readings steady in the mid-to upper 70s. Upper 60s will remain for overnight low temperatures and our next big cool down will not be here until mid November.
