Columbus police arrest 7 as part of investigation into drug trafficking and gang activity

The Columbus Police Department’s Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant Sunday on a Columbus residence that led to the seizure of narcotics and multiple arrests, CPD announced Wednesday.

The search warrant, served at a residence in the 4200 block of Roman Drive, is part of an investigation into drug trafficking and criminal street gang activity, according to the news release.

Police said the operation targeted members of the Rollin 60’s Crips/DBH (Drive by Hussle) gang.

Police said the items seized included:

  • Marijuana: 3,096.2 grams (6.82 pounds), estimated street value $30,962

  • Spice: 19.5 grams, estimated street value $195

  • THC: 18.7 grams, estimated street value $467.50

  • Total value of seized narcotics: $31,624.50

  • Firearms recovered: six (two were reported stolen, and one rifle was converted to automatic).

Seven people were arrested in connection with this operation, according to police. Here are their names, ages and charges:

Frank Jackson Jr., 45

  • Criminal Street Gang Activity (18 Counts)

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute

  • Drug Related Objects

  • Possession of Controlled Substance on or Near 1,000 Feet of School

  • Possession of Machine Gun

  • Convicted Felon in Possession of Firearm

  • Theft by Receiving (Stolen Firearm)

  • Possession of Firearm During Commission of Certain Crimes
