A Columbus area native’s award-winning movie will premiere next week on streaming services.
Meredith Riley Stewart , a Los Angeles resident who graduated in 1997 from Central High School in Phenix City, is the producer of the indie comedy “ For When You Get Lost, ” available for purchase or rent starting Nov. 15 on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Vudu/Fandango at Home.

Billed as a “heartwarming road-trip comedy that combines family drama, humor and self-discovery against the scenic backdrop of the Pacific Coast,” the movie stars Jennifer Sorenson (“Orphan is the New Orange” and “Exeter”) as the lead character on a “journey through craft breweries, scenic vistas and family confrontations as she attempts to bridge the gaps with her siblings — and with herself,” according to the film’s news release.
“For When You Get Lost” is the creation of an all-female team, with Sorenson, Kerry Carlock and Aletha Root joining Stewart as producers. Michelle Steffes , an award-winning maker of short films, is the director in her feature movie debut.
