LEE COUNTY, Ala. ( WRBL ) — A man in Lee County has been found guilty in the October 2020 murders of a local couple, according to the Lee County District Attorney’s Office.
Zhuobin Wang, 25, was found guilty of five counts of capital murder in the murders of LiJuan Xuan and ZhengZheng Wu, who were stabbed to death in their home in front of their two small children.
Wang told investigators he murdered the couple over issues with a lease, stating he also considered killing the children, but decided to let them live.
Wang has been sentenced to life without possibility of parole. Wang’s charges include:
- Capital Murder of Xuan during burglary
- Capital Murder of Wu during burglary
- Capital Murder of two or more person in a common scheme
- Capital Murder of Xuan in front of his children
- Capital Murder of Wu in front of his children
Detective Gavin Compton used digital forensics to show how Wang ordered an Uber to the victims’ neighborhood. Cell phone data showed Wang was dropped off in a different part of the neighborhood before walking through a wooded area to the victims’ house.
