COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Sunday morning will start off with temperatures well into the 20s for many across the Chattahoochee Valley, and highs will stay below average in the afternoon with the low to mid 50s for highs along with plenty of sunshine. We expect Monday morning to start off quite frosty as well with temperatures at or below freezing, and highs will top out in the mid to upper 50s by the afternoon. Clouds will be on the increase Monday and Tuesday, and temperatures will be climbing into the 60s by Christmas Eve. We don’t expect any rain or weather concerns for Christmas Eve, but we’ll still mention the risk of some isolated showers on Christmas Day with highs back in the low to mid 60s and morning lows in the mid 40s. Many will stay dry, and we’re still going to be fine-tuning that forecast as we draw closer to Christmas. Isolated showers will remain a part of the forecast for the rest of next week, with highs generally staying in the mid 60s. Our better chances of rain will likely hold off until next weekend with a 30% coverage Saturday and a 50% coverage by next Sunday. We’ll keep an eye on this to see if we have to make any changes since we are still pretty far out. Temperatures will remain above average as we close out 2024.
