COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – It’s a frosty and cold morning across the Valley with temperatures in the mid-20s to low 30s this morning. Today will be rather chilly and sunny, but not nearly as breezy as yesterday as highs warm to the low to mid-50s. Clouds will be on the increase on Monday and Tuesday, and temperatures will begin to gradually increase leading up to Christmas. Monday will warm to the mid to upper 50s and the low 60s return on Tuesday. No major weather concerns are expected Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but we will still mention the chance of an isolated shower on Christmas Day. Temperatures come Christmas will be rather pleasant with the mid to upper 40s Christmas morning and low to mid 60s by the evening. Many will stay dry, and we’re still going to be fine-tuning that forecast as we draw closer to Christmas. The forecast past Christmas will be dry for the most part, but each day will feature the chance for an isolated shower. The best chance for rain in the Valley looks to come next weekend on Sunday with coverage around 40% with another stretch of dry weather to follow. Temperatures for the end of the week will be above the seasonal average in the mid to upper 60s and look to stay this way to the end 2024.
