COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Good Tuesday morning! Temperatures dipping again this morning, but not as cold as previous mornings. But still areas of patchy frost are developing where we have cooler readings in the mid to low 30s.
For Christmas Eve, it will remain sunny through most of the day, but some high level clouds build into the region with temperatures climbing into the low 60s later this afternoon.
Christmas Day will start off chilly with temperatures in the 30s and climb to the 60s by the afternoon. Previous forecasts mentioned a chance of a few showers late on Christmas Day. That has changed and we’ve taken out that rain chance.
Thursday becomes cloudier with maybe a light sprinkle possible, but that rain chance is very low across the region. A better chance of rain moves into the forecast over the weekend with our next storm system while the end of the week stays somewhat seasonal.
For the weekend we are watching another storm system that will move across the southeast bringing in a few showers Saturday and an isolated chance Sunday. We are watching to see if the wedge forms across northeast Georgia which could impact temperatures over the weekend.
