WEATHER AWARE: Storms early Monday then chilly temperatures

COLUMBUS, Ga ( WRBL )- Tracking a strong cold front moving through early tomorrow morning. Ahead of the front, scattered showers and storms will pass through early tomorrow morning and could impact some Monday morning commutes.

Highs tomorrow will be early in the morning, sitting in the 50s. By the late evening, many areas will drop into the lower 40s.

Tuesday: By Tuesday morning, get ready for lows to plummet into the 20s. Add in windy conditions, wind chill temperatures will be in the teens.

These below average temperatures will continue through next weekend. Be prepared to bundle the kids as they head back to school this week. Also practice good winter weather safety by covering exposed pipes and brining pets indoors.

Friday/Saturday: We are tracking another winter system moving in at the end of next week. There is still a lot of uncertainty around this system this far out. However, we will be watching for any potential for frozen precipitation and will keep you updated.
