Columbus State announces new chief student engagement officer

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — A local university announced its new enrollment chief on Monday afternoon.

Columbus State University says Kim Scranage is set to become the official chief student engagement officer. According to the university, Scranage brings over 25 years of higher education experience to the table.

Duties include directing admissions and student recruitment efforts in enrollment. Scranage will also overlook student affair enterprises, which encompasses student life, housing, wellbeing and new-student orientation.

This is a new role at the university, intending to align with President Stuart Rayfield’s goals with recruiting, retaining and supporting students.
