COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — For 21 days, 14 men will travel nearly 9,500 miles, hitting 34 states to reach their multi-year fundraising goal of $1 million dollars to enhance the pediatric nursing program at Columbus State University.
The Miracle Rides began in 2009 when Scott Ressmeyer set out alone on a ride through the 48 contiguous states to celebrate his 50th birthday to raise money for the then Children’s Hospital at Midtown Center in Columbus. Since then, the riders have received $2.8 million dollars in donations to support services for children.
This year’s ride is themed Pony Express as riders will stop in 32 cities along the way to deliver personal letters from folks here in the valley to loved ones across the country…
