COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- Showers and a few rumbles of thunder will continue to lift north tonight. Most of this rain will be light to moderate.
Mother’s Day Weekend: A “Gulf Low” will bring multiple rounds of rainfall this weekend. Showers and storms will begin tonight and will continue for Mother’s Day. Afternoon highs will drop into the lower 70s and upper 60s.
Heavy rainfall will be our primary concern, and flash flooding could be possible. Rainfall totals could reach up to 4 inches in some areas through Tuesday afternoon.
Next Week: This system will finally exit Wednesday afternoon. Stray showers will still be possible on Wednesday. After this last round of rain, conditions will clear back out for the end of the week.
Sunshine will move back in on Thursday. With clear skies will also come warmer temperatures. We are on track to hit our first 90-degree day of the year by the end of the week…
